My family had a great time on the TMB with Salamander Adventures. Our guide Neil did an excellent job and was knowledgeable, good-natured and professional. We felt prepared and safe throughout the trek. We also enjoyed the accommodations booked by Salamander. Obviously the auberges left something to be desired, however we understand that due to the small towns we stayed in on two nights that was necessary. The food was excellent throughout. My one complaint is that I think Salamander should charge a bit more for the trip and have luggage delivered every night. It was a bit of a pain to have to carry 3 days worth of hiking supplies when there were two night increments of no luggage. Everyone on our trip would have preferred to pay more to have luggage each night.
