I had a metal framed open car port which I wanted to turn into a secure garage. I have a disability, so needed an electric garage door but two local companies had quoted me stupid money. I found Rollerdor online and their quote was nearly half the price! Their helpful surveyor came out to look at the opening and measure up, explaining to me that I needed to build a wooden frame to the opening on which to fit the door. I did this then measured the opening and ordered the door. Matthew in sales quickly answered all my questions. The fitters travelled from Wales to the Scottish border to put the door up. Despite getting up at 4.30am they were cheerful and friendly and did a very neat job. I am delighted with my door. The ground isn't level so when the weather gets better I'll need to fit a garage door strip to the floor, plus the existing metal frame still needs to be painted and some new roofing panels put on (hence the tarpaulin in the pictures) so it isn't finished yet, but the door itself is just what I wanted. The mechanism works well, although it's a bit noisier than I was expecting, and the box takes up less room inside than I thought it would. There was a power cut 2 weeks after having the door put on, and I did have to leave home in an emergency as my Mum was ill which meant using the manual winder to raise the door. This was much harder than I'd imagined and the manual winder was really hard to use (it needs to be rigid not flexibly jointed), but so far that's my only criticism. Overall I'm delighted with the door and the company and would highly recommend.
