We had our original sash windows replaced by Prestige Windows in three phases over a year, starting in 2009. We were very pleased with the construction and specification of the replacement windows - they look extremely good and have required very little maintenance other than touching up of paint finish, since installation. Some features of our installation were complex; the photo below is of the living room bay which is surrounded by wood panelling. The installation team were very professional and careful to preserve these features of the house. The new sash windows function very well and it is a pleasure to be able to easily open and close them. We did have a problem with some of the windows in that they are very large, and some of the chains holding the sash weights snapped. Prestige Windows took this up with the manufacturer and it transpired that a lighter weight chain had been used during the manufacture, which had subsequently been upgraded to a stronger variety. I cannot fault the response from Prestige Windows, who liaised with the manufacturer and organised replacement of chains in all of the windows at no cost and with no quibbling. I mention this because in my opinion, after care is very important. All in all, I would highly recommend Prestige Windows, and the replacement timber windows they supply. Whilst they are expensive, they are very good quality, and we have not been disappointed in either the product itself, or the service.
