I spent 4 weeks as a volunteer at Knysna Elephant Park in Knysna, South Africa. It was an incredible experience. Volunteers work with AERU--Africa Elephant Research Unit, which is part of the park. My cousin and I did this together, and both made the most of this amazing opportunity. We chose this location to work more closely with the elephants, and it proved to be life-changing for both of us.
