Having booked the parking space just 24 hours prior to departure I was shocked to find, upon arrival that the car park was closed and had just a sign declaring ‘you have been upgraded’ but with absolutely no information as to where to go instead.
Having no time to spare before the intended flight, I parked in the terminal car park which should have incurred a cost of £165 for the five days I was away. We’re it not for the generosity of spirit if the gate attendant on the night of my departure (to whom I am very grateful) I would have had to pay this extortionate fee to exit the car park as I ought to have been in the ‘long stay’ car park. Had there been ANY information to this effect at the barricaded Plane Parking gate, I would have not made this error. Overall it worked out okay but was very stressful at the time. Information in the confirmation email would surely have been easy enough to include?
