I have decided to only shop with Peter Tyson online The problem is the senior staff who are so dismissive of customers with sub £10,000 budgets that your heart sinks when dealing with them. Since Christmas I have had 2 interactions with a family member. The first time was to purchase a £1000 pair of headphones.he barely glanced up from his desk and told me to buy them online,before picking up the phone. The second time was with a £3000 budget to buy an amplifier. He told me he would get back to me. It took him 7 days, in the meantime I went on to their online shop and bought another one without the trial of dealing with salesmen. I have to say the younger salesmen are great,it’s the older salesmen with their old fashioned,outdated snobbish attitudes that still give the industry a bad name. Later this year I intend to buy a pair of Focal Kanta speakers for £7000+ I’d love a good showroom experience but my heart truly does drop at the idea of dealing with snobby salesmen (if only they would take a look at BMW,Mercedes,Apple and The Goldsmiths,sales room model and put the customer/potential customer first.
