“Went to buy a telly today . Picked the one I wanted , the assistant went and got one for me , got my bank card out ready to do the business and asked about the interest free finance . “Interest free finance is only available on line” I was told , I also had to register with Samsung on line to get my 5 year warranty. Yet another local retailer has gone the way of the internet , another blow for those of us who don’t do business online and try to keep shops open and people in work . I have bought a few items from Peter Tyson in the past but now feel let down , and I’m sure I’m not the only one . This normally leads to the lowering of customer service standards and eventually internet only business . I left without the telly , it wasn’t because of the money , I’m just so hacked off that everyone assumes we’re all happy to do our business online when every 2 seconds people are being scammed on it .”

“Despite having a great store nearby that I love going to,if only to admire gear I can only dream of. I have decided to only shop with Peter Tyson online The problem is the senior staff who are so dismissive of customers with sub £10,000 budgets that your heart sinks when dealing with them. Since Christmas I have had 2 interactions with a family member. The first time was to purchase a £1000 pair of headphones.he barely glanced up from his desk and told me to buy them online,before picking up the phone. The second time was with a £3000 budget to buy an amplifier. He told me he would get back to me. It took him 7 days, in the meantime I went on to their online shop and bought another one without the trial of dealing with salesmen. I have to say the younger salesmen are great,it’s the older salesmen with their old fashioned,outdated snobbish attitudes that still give the industry a bad name. Later this year I intend to buy a pair of Focal Kanta speakers for £7000+ I’d love a good showroom experience but my heart truly does drop at the idea of dealing with snobby salesmen (if only they would take a look at BMW,Mercedes,Apple and The Goldsmiths,sales room model and put the customer/potential customer first.”

“We wish we had read David’s review!! We feel exactly the same. Sick to the stomach after being scammed out of nearly £1,300. We bought a 55” Samsung TV that we unpacked as per the instructions. Upon turning on it was apparent the screen was damaged. We reported this immediately and asked for a replacement, in line with their ‘Peace of Mind’ returns Policy. To be told we must have damaged it when taking it out of the box. Which is 100% not the case. We suspect it was a previously returned item, especially as the plastic screen protector was wrinkled and had clearly been partly removed. They have offered us a replacement at a discount!!! Sounds like BTEGOTW…….. Buy Two Eventually Get One That Works!! Nice earner for them. As we say. We feel totally scammed and distraught. Please do not buy from them!!”

“Terrible experience. Watch out. They are not customer friendly at all and scammed me out of £420 and keep insisting that it is my fault. Blaming the customer!! I ordered a Chord Poly and a hardcase for it. The package arrived fast but ONLY contained the hardcase. They insist that they checked the stock and that they shipped the hardcase with the Poly. They also insisted on a DPD picture as proof of deliver which only shows the package at my doorstep. YES, I GOT THE BAG. Funny thing is that the bag was packed so tight that it would have not even fit anything but the hardcase. Kept it as proof. Still they insist that I have it and that it's my fault but I really don't. Feel sick to my stomach. I have thus been scammed out of £420 and don't know what else to do. Terrible experience.”

“I just bought a 50 inch qled from Peter Tyson. I am very pleased with the service. 100% Superb. Mostly pleased with Mr Paul Pilkington. He helped me when a slight problem developed and all of it was my fault. Great service. Im buying my home cinema sound system from them. Cant go wrong.”

“Very bad return customer service. I've purchased Naim Muso speaker for £1300. The quality of the sound is not great. when I try to call them few times. they don't answer the return option in the phone. eventually I get through. They want to post back the good on my own cost which I agreed until I found out it will cost me £92 to secure post it. I've email them and of course NO REPLY.”

“Got a really good bundle deal got the Yamaha Rn402d amp and acoustic Q 3030i speakers they sound excellent. Delivery was very quick they also came with the cables and plugs to connect the speakers £64 for free top deal 5stars all they way 👍”

“Placed a telephone order for Ethernet cable. Polite guy I spoke to double checked stock availability, happily in stock. Cable arrived 2 days later free delivery. What more could I ask? Not the first time I've purchased from PT and won't be the last.”

“I needed some advice on speakers and a separate amp for the TV I'd just bought elsewhere, and the chap who helped me was brilliant - very knowledgeable about his product and his stock. I ordered the speakers and amp that he recommended and it was there next day; they'd even included some cable in case I didn't have any to hand. I wouldn't hesitate to use Peter Tyson again as I really couldn't fault the service given. I've been using the items for a few weeks now and I'm very pleased with the recommendations as well as the price that I paid.”

“Recently bought a Denon D-M41 unit with Q Acoustics 3020 speakers following what hifi recommendations. Very pleased with the combo. Peter Tyson offered the best price along with speedy pre Xmas delivery. Highly recommended.”
