I found it very confusing as a first time user. It was awkward to use. I had difficulty with putting in the co-ordinates. I went to Google maps and got the longitude and latitude but obviously these were rejected. Frustrating. Why couldn’t I just have a map that I could zoom in on and identify the area of interest with having to find out what the eastings and northings are? Then when drawing the envelope around the plot I wasn’t able to tweak it to make the outline more accurate. I opted for the colour version as I thought it meant my plot outline would show in red. I didn’t realise the rest of it would be blocked out in solid colour, heavy on printer ink. By this time there was no option to choose the non-colour option. The colour version printed out in black & white was too feint to be usable. Why not automatically provide both colour and non colour maps? Obviously if I needed to use this site again it would be easier but I can only review my actual experience. Conclusion: Not user friendly. Not intuitive. Will try OS next time.
