We were very pleased with the look of our water butt but had a few problems with connecting it to the down pipe. The instructions were more suited to North American rain water installation. The overflow pipe would not be able to cope with the amount of water from a typical UK down pipe. Also the threads at the top of the butt hadn’t been formed probably making it impossible to screw in the fittings supplied.
