We signed up for the one day Emergency First Aid at Work course. Not only was the content delivered informative, the delivery by the trainer was superb. There can be an expectation that whilst the courses are important and interesting, they may be tiring at times due to the amount of information being shared. However, we found both the content and the delivery from our trainer to be so engaging that it truly felt as though we were taking all the knowledge and skills on board without feeling fatigued. The engagement through the training was excellent, as there were only 6 of us participating, we were all able to answer questions or give our opinions on how we may approach a certain situation before being told the correct way. Our trainer, Anne, used examples that were relevant and practical for every day lives. She helped us to be aware of how our current health and safety practices could be improved and how we can use our new skills in our work. Overall, the day was actually quite fun. We laughed and learnt, we couldn't have asked for much more than that!
