I am writing this on behalf of my 85 year old mum. In the last 10 year's my mum has purchased lots of furniture from oak Furniture land. She has been happy with it to. 3 weeks ago she purchased a Mattress from them . The delivery date was Tuesday the 15th between 1 and 4 pm. So we got rid of her old Mattress the day before. We had a camping mattress and put that on the base of her bed . For one night she was happy with that. Tuesday came . 1pm came and went and so did 4pm. No delivery. So mum phoned to see what was happening. The lady on the phone couldn't get hold of the delivery drivers. Had no idea where they were. She said they could still deliver by 6.30pm. 6.30pm came no Mattress. So mum phoned the lady she apologised and said she would phone mum in the morning. Mum had to spend another night on a camping mattress. Wednesday came no phone call but my mum had a message to say they could deliver her mattress by the 22nd of November. What , this is just disgusting. They were going to leave my mum of 85 with no mattress for 2 weeks!!. So that morning my sister got on the phone spoke to a manager. They said they could get the mattress delivered today, Thursday the 17th. Mum had to spend another night on the camping mattress. The mattress was delivered today at 1pm. They have offered a £50 compensation. My mum will never purchase anything from them again. Neither will we.
