10 years ago, after the death of our father. We decided, as a family, to build a log cabin in our back garden for our mother. After quite a bit of research we found Norwegian Log Buildings. We found them, from our initial phone call to the completion of the cabin to be extremely helpful and easy to deal with. No question was too small or too silly. The cabin has also stood the test of time. It has always had such a relaxing and tranquil feel. We did upgrade to having extra insulation and oil underfloor heating system. Both of which I would highly recommend, it make it very cosy and extremely economical to run. With all wooden structures there is a certain amount of maintenance, one side of our cabin is south facing and very exposed. So it does get a UV protection applied each year, the other three sides every two years. The whole build went according to plan, the team that erected it were professional, efficient and very tidy. The only part we found daunting was at that time, we had to find all our own trades people, to do the electrics, plumbing and fit the kitchen and bathroom. I now believe Norwegian buildings offer this service, which to me is a real winner. I would have always recommended them but now with this whole package it's a No Brainer.
