Booked “South View apartment” for 6 people in Alnmouth for 20th May 2023 for 1 week paid over £500 deposit and realised we are in the wrong area and need to be in Beadnell. Tried to alter the booking but the owner (not the company we booked with) said we have to cancel and if they don’t fill it we loose the full amount. We were prepared to pay the £100 admin charge as stated in the contract but not loose over £500. We gave 4 months notice and wasn’t taking our business away from Northumbrian Cottages just wanted to change the booking.
