I had been recommended by my podiatrist to try a couple of pairs of trainers following a foot fracture and tear of one of my foot tendons. I purchased 3 different types of shoe from Northern Runner. However, each were not suitable for different reasons. I returned them in person to their store in Newcastle. I was refunded immediately and in addition to this, the guy I spoke to (I forget his name) looked at my feet and within 10 seconds was able to tell me what size and type of shoe would be ideal. I tried them on and he wasn’t wrong. The most comfortable fitting shoe I’ve ever had and I feel no pain when walking in them (unlike other footwear I own). It surprised me the guy found a shoe first time as I have such high arches and wide feet. I usually search for hours to find a decent shoe. The one I tried on was so good I’ve purchased an additional 2 pairs as Brooks don’t make them anymore. A massive thanks to the guy in there. Great customer service. I’ll not buy my shoes from anywhere else now!
