NAC person (Phil, IIRC?) arrived on-time and did a thorough check of the machine. I thought I knew what the problem was but it turned out that the problems were a lot worse than I thought - Phil showed me the pics from inside the machine and it was all rusted, quite a mess. He said that they could repair it but the Miele parts are expensive and given the number of parts that needed replacing he recommended scrapping the current one and getting a new one. He provided recommendations of makes to look at. All in all a very professional job, highly recommend him.
