I’m sorry to say my recent experience with Shabby Store was less than satisfactory. I had ordered a twig heart wall decoration that had been reduced to clear, and I ordered this online as I had been looking for something like this for a few weeks. I was thrilled to have found one and at a reduced price! I received my order confirmation, and a follow-up email to say it was almost being despatched. Then nothing for almost a week. I called customer services as I still hadn’t had any message to indicate a delivery time/date, only to be informed that the item I had ordered was deemed unfit for sale and they couldn’t send it out to me. “So apologies for that” was all the apology I got, and judging by the time frame and the fact that I had to chase this order (I emailed initially and got no response so called again) It didn’t seem that anyone was aware that the order wouldn’t be sent out until the operative I spoke to went to check it’s whereabouts. This really is shoddy customer service, and I was disappointed with the service I received as it was very matter of fact, and as I deal with customer service as part of my job I wouldn’t have dealt with it in this way. I would have at least offered an alternative, or to help in any way I could. I understand mistakes happen but this could have been dealt with very differently, without me having to chase it up.
