I gave this review of Meadowmania (below). At the bottom is the response from meadowmania. First, she tells me that the product " very clearly outlines" it's 67% make-up. Total lies: the percentages are in a hidden drop-down menu at the bottom of the page. Second, she says her "colleague tried to understand why i was so angry", she didn't, her attitude was that of somebody thinking "Oh, here we go again" and she signposted me to the small print (the hidden drop-down menu at the bottom of the page), she then says I "personally insulted" her. No I didn't but i was angry. And i'll tell you why: this is my last chance to plant for the year, there's no time now to send these back and get a replacement. You know exactly what you're up to, otherwise the percentages would be at the top of the page in view, not hidden away at the bottom in a drop down. The price. For a "superior" hedge mix of 50 whips was roughly £150 including postage. I just went and bought the plants i need yesterday, individually, for £1.19 each from another supplier. Less than half price and closer to the price they should cost. I also bought flower seeds from meadowmania. I'll plant these next to a bed bought from the different supplier to compare. Make sure you read the one star reviews before buying from this company. I suspect most of the 5-star reviews are fabricated. I ordered 50 "Superior Native Hedging Mix". There were supposed to be 13 different varieties. I got 32 hawthorns, 5 of another, and just one of each of the rest. I called up about it and they told me to check the hidden drop-down on the website where it has the percentages (so actually, it's on the website so we've not done anything wrong.) While that particular product very clearly outlines that that mixture is made up of 67% Hawthorn (which is very typical of a hedging mix, but not the same as our other hedging mixtures), my colleague did try to understand why you were so angry and try to help come up with a solution, but since you personally insulted her, swore and then hung up the phone it made it very difficult to help. I'm sure that you will notice from our many other reviews that we pride ourselves on going above and beyond to help our customers whether it be with advice or queries, so I am disappointed that we weren't given the opportunity to in this instance too.
