A review relating to Marshalls Audi in Oxford A warning to anyone thinking of doing business with this dealership, beware. When your buying, you're the most important person in the world, but when that process stops and you take the vehicle away from the dealership, you are a positive pariah if anything goes wrong and you need help. Having bought my car from Marshalls in Oxford on a Tuesday, the electrical systems of the vehicle had experienced a catastrophic failure by the following Thursday, sending warnings to the dashboard and resetting the cars electrics at random intervals. The warnings were serious, such as steering failure, SOS Systems activated and asking me to take control of the car! Scary stuff. I rang Marshalls Audi in Oxford while driving the car (I was by now on ear pods as the telephony connection was doing its own thing) I didn’t know my registration as the car was new and even though I had visited the dealership 3 times in the run up to buying the car and parted with a significant sum of money, I was only recognisable by the registration of the car and without it, they couldn’t help me. When I got home, the dealership was closed and so I sent an e-mail to the associate who sold me the car. At this point, I hadn’t realised that she was on holiday as there was no out of office returned to my e-mail. As the car was drivable, although very annoying with instrument failure and warning sirens every few moments, I waited for a call or e-mail back, but after 2 days of hearing nothing, I started to call again. By now, as you could imagine, I was very annoyed as I drive a lot for work and having a consistent connection to the car is very important to me. I ran Marshalls Audi again, left messages on automated VAR systems as there was no one covering any position in the business and waited for calls, I revived none. I then tried the national service number, but this is an automated service that connects to a central call centre and they could only offer me an appointment to have the problem looked at in over a month’s time. In desperation, I ran an alternative Audi dealership to see if they could help me and at least they tried and never asked for my registration. But unfortunately, their workshop was also booked two weeks into the future. They did say they would try and ask Audi Oxford to call me and at least were apologetic, more than I’d had from Marshals Audi. With perseverance and being told I couldn’t speak to the General Manager of the site as he wouldn’t take my call, a service manager finally called me back, but then. Put the phone down on me, calling back after a little while stating his battery had failed (Audi Marshalls Oxford disconnect calls a lot, so I am dubious) I relayed my story to him, he was very sorry, my salesperson came back from holiday, she was very sorry and the car was finally collected and taken to their workshop. It is due back today, but no one has commutated yo me or confirmed it would be, I’ve heard nothing for 5 days, so this morning I decided to call the dealership and ask what was happening. My sales Executive was not available, the Service Manager was not available, The General Manager was not available and so when I asked for the service department, I could proceed no further without the registration of my car that I have owned for 2 weeks but was last seen a week ago being driven off for repair. I’m exhausted writing this review as working in the service industry where customers are then most precious commodity we have, this experience is simply alien to me and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
