My Sister and myself booked a three night package holiday to Nerja through Love Holidays which included a hotel, flights from Manchester to Malaga airport and a shuttle transfer from the airport to our hotel. Our inbound Ryanair flight was delayed by an hour and when we got to Malaga airport there were massive queues to get through passport control. It took us an hour and a half to get through and when we got outside the terminal our transfer had left without us. We rang the transfer company and was cut off after 4 minutes so we went back into the terminal building to see if there was anyone who could help us. There was no one around so we called the transfer company again and this time a nice lady answered and said she would ring through to someone, which she did, and advised us that the driver would come back for us. She said that he was 5-10 minutes away and to wait where we were and someone would come for us. We waited for 15 minutes and nobody came so we called again and spoke to a horrible man who's said they wouldn't come back for us, the lady we had spoken to was lying and we would have to get a taxi and put a complaint in to Love Holidays. I explained that we are two middle aged ladies travelling on our own and we had no money to get a taxi. I asked him could he not ring through like the lady had and ask the driver to come back for us but he refused. He kept saying that they won't come back for us. By this time we were starting to panic. It was now 11:30 at night and we knew we were about an hour away from our hotel. We had various men approaching us staying that they would give us a lift. We decided to leave it a few minutes and call again hoping to get through to someone else more helpful, or maybe the lady we had spoken to originally, but unfortunately the same horrible man answered the phone. We asked again could he not ring the driver but he said he would not come back for us. He repeated that the first lady we had spoken to was lying and just saying what we wanted to hear. He said this is what this company is like and that we would have to get a taxi and put a complaint in. I again explained that we had no money to get a taxi and could he not order us one but he said no we would have to do it ourselves. I put the phone down in disgust at his attitude. I couldn't believe that they had just left us there at the airport stranded and didn't care less. We had paid for a service that they had failed to provide. We were really upset and distressed by this point. We thought the safest way to get to our hotel would be by Uber as the journey was tracked and also as we had no euros we could pay online and we would have a receipt to submit with our complaint to Love Holidays. So, my sister had to work out how to download and work the Uber App which is something she hadn't done before and this caused us further stress and worry. By the time we got to our hotel we were exhausted and kept going over what had just happened to us. We couldn't sleep that night so were tired the next day and this ruined the first day of our break, bearing in mind we were only there for three nights. When we got home my sister (as she was the lead passenger) submitted a complaint to Love Holidays for a refund of our taxi fare, as we were advised to do by the transfer company. Love Holidays replied but didn't want to know. They told us to contact Ryanair as it was them that had caused the delay or claim through our travel insurance. As far as I'm concerned we have paid our money to Love Holidays and they are who we have our contract with so they should be dealing with the refund and not just fobbing us off. I am also disgusted that they would have dealings with a transfer company who had no regard for their customers welfare. Flights are delayed all the time so do they just expect all passengers to arrange their own transport if they find themselves in this situation when they have already paid for a service. I have Googled the transfer company MTS globe.com and they have a string of unhappy 1 star reviews on Trustpilot so why are Love Holidays using them! I have replied to Love Holidays requesting that they refund our taxi fare and claim the refund off Ryanair themselves but they refuse to deal with us. Well Love Holidays, I have booked holidays with you many times in the past with no problems but no more!! This has really put me off and I, nor any of my family and friends who I have told about my experience, will ever book with you again and I will tell everyone else I know as well. So, for the sake of a refund of a £54 taxi fare you have potentially lost thousands of pounds in holiday bookings!!!
