I came all the way from Houston, Texas for this course. Being interested in international mediations, I thought perhaps a course overseas would be helpful to an international perspective. What I found in LSM far exceeded my expectations. I'm not certain if my class was representative of all classes, but it was incredibly diverse - solicitors, a barrister, business owners, and representatives of organizations and government - classmates from Spain, Kenya, Ireland, and Switzerland, just to name a few. The varied perspectives were invaluable. But the diversity was not all that made this course so amazing. The instructors were amazing as well. Judith, Tessa, Lizzie, Samantha and William were not only brilliant in the field, passionate about mediation, and caring in their approach, they were pure motivation. They crafted a school that was not just about getting me certified; they created a true educational experience about mediation. I feel ready to mediate, and I feel motivated to begin. This school, the course, and the instructors were worth every dollar I spent to come 5,000 miles.
