The product quality is very good. However, customer service could be improved.
We agreed a date for delivery,then changed it. I had three people here to help with delivery - 1 being paid and my partner taking time off work as well me. Unfortunately, the change was not communicated to the deliverers. So we had a wasted afternoon. At cost to me.
A new date was set an we had two people available to help. This time the driver said he couldn't get in to the street because of width restrictions around the corner. I advised to come in from the other end. A debate ensued about whether he could go through a bus lane gate. Eventually he arrived. He then reported back to the office that there was no-one to take delivery even though he had actually been speaking to the person I was paying to be there! Until I called the office and made it clear I was extremely unhappy with the way I was being treated and that I couldn't be expected to let the delivery go when it had been contracted to be there, nothing was being done.
Finally I helped unload along with the person I had asked to help me . The driver said it would take four hours. It took less than two. I am a 5 ft 2 inch tall 62 year old. He couldn't believe I was willing and more importantly able to carry some of the load.
No apology in any form was received.
It was doubly disappointing that customer service was so poor as my initial contact with the office when ordering had been very positive.
I was also astonished that the driver would not take any of the packaging away. I think it is important for future customers to know that they will be expected to dispose of pallets and mountains of cardboard and wrapping as I had not been given that information when I ordered.
These goods are quite expensive. It should surely be right that the customer is treated with courtesy and support rather than a 'fend for yourself'attitude.
