Sorry but the whole point is that gifts are delivered regardless of the recipient being in or not. I have had experience of a delivery before now and was lucky enough to be in otherwise a card would have been left. On this occasion I thought I would put previous experience down to a one off, unfortunately however the same again, postman left a card so a gift that was due last week was finally received today after I rescheduled delivery. Luckily the recipient was this time but the postman still knocked rather than posted it. Defeats the object somewhat!
