The 4 foot fluorescent tubes I ordered arrived extremely tightly packed in a rigid cardboard tube with bubble wrap taped in at each end. Ordinarily I expect this would be acceptable but in my case the tubes were hard up against the wall of the tube and directly susceptible to any shock or impact which would have been transmitted through the walls of the transit tube. It was very difficult to extract the fluorescent tubes and two of them had in fact been broken in transit, a third had a bent and damaged pin. I rang the following day and was asked to send photos in an email via the email link on the homepage which I did the same day asking for a 'Read Receipt'. I heard nothing so rang again the following day as I needed the tubes to replace in light fittings. I spoke to a different person who said that the email link goes to Sales and I should send an email to 'Help'. It would help if this was made clear on the website. To their credit 3 replacement tubes turned up at 3.30 the following afternoon. I will possibly use LampShopOnline again but I hope they start to provide some form of cushioning e.g. bubble-wrap, between the packaging and the contents. Once I had them all and checked for operation the tubes worked fine. Can't say that I am impressed with the carrier used though (FedEx) who will only say that your delivery will be with you that day by 6.00 PM and our deliveries always seem to be at that time of day barring the replacement tubes which did turn up a bit earlier at 3.30 PM.
