I bought some Josh Wood hair dye, which arrived in a timely manner, however I suffered an allergic reaction during the essential Allergy Test. Apparently this is unusual but can happen sometimes. I followed the instructions on the leaflet and washed the patch test off as soon as I noticed a problem.
I contacted Justmylook customer services by email and they replied two days later to say they required proof of the allergy from a medical professional that I had incurred a significant and prolonged reaction. Of course this is impossible as following the leaflet instructions I removed the dye from behind my ear straight away. The email I received from Customer Services was extremely unhelpful and I felt it would have been more honest to say they are unable to refund me.
I had contacted the Josh Wood website by email at the same time as I emailed Justmylook and they replied a day earlier and said that the reaction I encountered can happen on rare occasions and if I had bought the dye directly from them they would have accepted the return and refunded me.
Therefore Caveat Emptor, buy direct from the manufacturer! I will not use the Justmylook website again.
