After having moved to the USA and whilst we enjoying a super low rate on our UK homeowner owner mortgage, the time came to switch mortgages to a non-UK resident BTL mortgage... During a tense period of seeing rates rise and existing lending only offering SVR + 3% = 8+% at the time, and slow to no response from our current bank (6-8months for remortgage) .
