I’ve used In2carparks many times and I’ve always been happy with the service. However, this time, we were told we didn’t have to pay the £3 to enter the short stay drop off car park at John Lennon, Liverpool, as the boss has told the drivers we must be dropped off in the free drop off to the right of the roundabout, which is quite a walk. When we realised, my friend said she can’t walk that far because she has limited mobility. The young man said he would turn into the first exit and drop us off there, although he isn’t allowed.
We were grateful of this, however, on returning from our holiday at 11.20pm, we phoned the office, but no answer, obviously because the driver was out picking up. We decided to start the dreaded walk in the wind and rain. I called the number again and the driver said to make our way to the bus stop in the free car park. My friend was struggling by this time.
By the time we got picked up, my friend was very worn out. I complained to the driver and said it won’t be possible to use them again as it’s all so inconvenient.
I was annoyed to hear, ‘ we could of paid the entry money for the original car park and got dropped off and picked up there by the yellow submarine. When I told him what we had been told, he said, no, we had a choice to pay the drop off fee.
The young man had obviously given us the wrong information.
I think the company should make it very clear on they’re website, just what service is available. What should of been an easy going end to our holiday, certainly wasn’t.
