I contacted IAS for a minor change in my UK status and spoke with Kieren who has always contacted me and has been very helpful.
That being said this is where the story goes south fast!
Shazia one of the immigration solicitors was appointed to have a meeting with me last Wednesday. Not only was she late to the meeting, but I felt she was ill-prepared for the meeting and kept asking me the same questions only a few minutes after the first set of questions.
Once the meeting was at an end she advised without fail that she would send me the next steps that evening!
Unfortunately, this did not happen!
I rang on Thursday last week to follow this up and was told she would send this by an advisor.
Last Friday I rang and asked to speak with a manager as I still haven't received the information.
I asked the advisor again if I would like to speak to a manager, and again the advisor's manager refused to speak with me.
The advisor came back in an ill-mannered way advising me that I don't have to speak to her, I responded well I am trying to get through to your manager so I do not wish to speak with you.
The moral of the story it's been 7 days and still no information.
Rang in today and was again placed on hold for 40 mins and finally rang again from a different number and got hold of a lady called Emily who finally told me Shazia is on annual leave!
If you want to be passed from pillar to pillar sign up with IAS and waste your time.
Also, pay with a credit card to be on the safe side.
Now you will see IAS respond shortly apologizing etc etc, take it with a pinch of salt as they are saving face.
