It provides a high definition recording facility which is what it is designed to do and is well priced but there are features that let it down.You have to wait some twenty seconds after switching over from "stand by" before you get a picture.I have just upgraded from their 8000 series which was some twelve years old and that was much better thought out in terms of initial switching from T.V to recorder,you actually had a progress bar and was much quicker.
