HDR-1100S 500GB A great advance from the Foxsat HDR that had its issues (Primarly the horribly SLOW interface until the live TV is rendered under menus + issues when recording Eg Jump to end when in catchup and recording ends; random appearance of captions after pausing live TV). When support for iPlayer finally dies it was time for an upgrade. New model much more responsive and no particular glitches spotted yet (after one week). Some nice touches such as "would you prefer to watch this in HD" whenever a programme starts and the PIP in the Guide. The guide could make much better use of the available screen width (I mean, who owns a 4:3 screen these days anyway). It's still not as good as the Humax Freeview PVR we owned about 4 years ago and it's hard to imagine why they don't just use the same software. Would love to have NetFlix app so need to keep the AppleTV. Anyways, happy we now have a better experience, albeit with that feeling it could be better still.
