Without this I believe I would have more unwanted flying visitors coming into my kitchen - but they do still get through. I have watched wasps and flies land on the chains and walk through the gap. A minor modification to the design, hanging the links not side by side but gap-by-link, would make the curtain much more effective. It'll do, but it's not as good as I had hoped for.
