This was my first experience of dealing with Hogies, I would have given a 5 star rating, but this was spoiled by the delivery of the item. I think their original delivery time was rather slow, but to add to the delay, good old Royal Mail made it even slower. I received an email from Royal Mail telling me that they had received the item and would deliver it on a specific date. That date was not acceptable due to a bereavement.
I notified RM and asked for the item to be delivered to my local post office. They agreed to this, however when I went to collect the item from the post office, they knew nothing about it. On returning home I found the parcel on the door step. It seems that the left hand of the P.O. doesn't know what the right hand is doing, despite me receiving confirmation from them that it would be left at the local PO. I know the extra delay was not the fault of Hogies, but even their orignial delivery was a bit on the slow side. If my experience was the norm, I would suggest the Hogies would be better finding a more reliable delivery firm. Regardless of the value of the item, it could have been stolen or rained on damaging the contents
Would I deal with Hogies again?, well the jury is still out on that one.
