I've been using car hire companies regularly over past two months whilst having my car repaired. I've been hiring from Liverpool Airport.
I've found Hertz to be the worse for customer service and dirty cars.
Arrived an hour early for the hire.
Was asked to come back later as car wasn't ready.
Arrived over an hour later and was informed they'd hired my car to someone else, as this is what it said on my terms and conditions ( it doesn't). I was
offered to wait another 2 and a half hours or pay an extortionate price for another car.
I felt forced to pay the extra.
So, my economic car hire ended up extremely expensive.
I have complained and feel I'm being fobbed off.
It was difficult to speak with anyone who wanted to help, or where able to find my booking.
Still waiting to hear how my complaint will be addressed.
If your car hire is with Hertz, try to book with someone else.
I found the staff abrasive and all have a couldn't care less attitude.
