I have had the hearing device for seven months. As a "middleman" you did a good job in connecting me to a local practitioner. He and she were attentive and helpful, I couldn't and didn't, ask for more. The hearing aid itself is better than I could get on the NHS but it isn't perfect. It does allow me to join-in two and three-way conversations that I had stopped trying to do. The device does more than I want or need. I am 84 and male. A disappointing choice on the "menu" is the "Rain" function; it doesn't diminish the sound, it increases it to gale force ten that drowns-out all else. The restaurant setting doesn't reduce the background noise. Impact noises are magnified out of proportion; I will hear a pin drop but not hear a quiet voice. It make what was impossible, possible but it isn't the real thing. That is something gone for ever methinks. This is, currently, the next best thing.
