On the day of the calibration of my LG55EC930V OLED TV, Vincent contacted me to advise his ETA, and arrived on time as stated. He described the process of the calibration before we got started, and explained clearly what he was doing at each stage of the process. Once calibrated the quality of the TV picture was noticeably improved. Colour accuracy in blue sky scenes, and underwater scenes in Planet Earth for example now have a perfect blue hue, my previous settings had a greenish tint. Also, overall the colours now appear richer and the overall image is brighter, the colour white now appears as white rather then again having a off white tint before. In fact the greenish tint that many of this particular model have on a all white background for example has been greatly reduced by the calibration which I found most pleasing. Also colour gradation is now smoother, with a reduction in banding sometimes seen in colours on these sets, once the calibration was complete. The image now has greater pop and depth than before. Then we moved onto calibrating the TV for 3D, and the results I found to be fantastic for 3D also. I think if you have a high quality TV set such as an LG OLED then a calibration is most definitely worthwhile, as it is then reassuring to know that your TV is displaying an accurate an image as is possible.
