Good Turf but Leatherjackets Found. The turf was delivered and was impressed, there were a few which were torn and a little ripped but not an issue, its turf at the end of the day and would be fine once it’s down. During laying though I did find several LIVE leatherjackets which were a cause of concerns as we all know the devastation they can cause on the lawn. They were quickly ‘dispatched’ but I’m somewhat concerned whether there was an infestation in the turf which could kill it off after a single season or whether I’m going to have to pay for a series of leatherjacket treatments… time will tell!
