I saw a review of Turfonline on the Which? magazine website, which rated them as one of the best online turf suppliers. I chose them as their website was clear and easy to use and their prices were better than other Which? recommended turf suppliers. We ordered 100m2 of Jubilee lawn turf on Monday, which was delivered on Wednesday evening. The quality of the turf was fantastic - beautifully thick, vivid green grass on a layer of rich. dark soil, which was in excellent condition and obviously just cut. We had previously prepared our garden and so got on with laying the turf straight away, mixing in some Rapid Roots pre-turfing feed as we went along. We managed to lay all of the turf within 36hrs of it arriving and just before the weather turned and two days of moderate rain arrived - perfect! The turfs were easy to handle, lay and cut where required and immediately transformed the bare patch of earth that had, up till then, been our garden. It looked absolutely gorgeous from the start! (Photo below taken on completion). Over the last three weeks we have kept the turf watered when necessary and used up the little bit of Rapid Roots that was left over. The lawn is thick and lush and a lovely, even green all over. We have tentatively tried lifting the corner of some of the turfs and have found them all to have put down roots and densely knitted into the existing soil surface already. Having never laid turf before we are amazed at the results - our lawn is superb already and the envy of our neighbours! The only thing I would do differently is pay a little more for a timed delivery slot. We paid for delivery between 8am and 8pm. It arrived at 7pm, which was well within the stated time slot, but we felt we had lost a day by the time we started. Absolutely no-one's fault but our own and no criticism implied of anyone else. Overall - brilliant! Fantastic turf at very reasonable prices delivered quickly, in superb condition, ready to lay. Some of our leftovers were still in great condition 60hrs after being delivered and were snapped up and used by others. Many thanks and very well done to Turf Online. Highly recommended.
