The Croft lock has a solid look and feel to it. However, the keys they supply with it do not do it justice. An intrinsically non rusting key (eg. bronze or stainless steel) would be better than the plated key. Of course it would be more expensive, but the lock is not a cheap one. I installed the keep with a 1/16" gap and the latch would not retract against the spring. I increased the gap to 3/16" and it works fine. Could do with an instruction to this effect.
