These boots are great, not too heavy and have good arch and ankle support with a sold vibram sole. Also they are cheaper than other hiking boots I have used in the past such as, Zamberlans and LL Beans brands. Id say the Grisport hiking boots are comparable and a good option to consider if you want a lighter boot for long distance walks in the UK National Trails.
