I responded to a radio advert on LBC just out of curiosity, as my wife and I had a poor performing ISAs with Scottish Widows in 2008. I gave Goodwin Barrett a call and spoke with Derek Welsby, not only was he very knowledgeable and polite, he made the entire process very simple. He said clearly we should have not been sold these products as they were not suitable for us. Once we had signed the authorisation for GB to deal on our behalf, within 7 days of starting the process, Scottish Widows offered over £1500 compensation for the two ISA's. Absolutely staggered at how quick they accepted responsibility, and very grateful how Goodwin Barrett managed the entire process. What is not to like about getting a windfall out of the blue?
