I booked and pre-paid a pick-up at Barcelona airport for 7.40pm on Christmas Eve. The booking was made via EasyJet and the inbound flight was specified on the voucher. The flight was delayed a little and I arrived at the desk at 8.20pm. The desk was closed (the voucher said it should close at 11.00pm). The telephone number on the voucher was unanswered.
We took a taxi to our hotel and returned next day (Christmas Day). The Goldcar representative said as we had not turned up within six hours the booking was cancelled. (We had of course turned up well within the specified time, but there was no way of contacting Goldcar). He further said you would not honour the booking, if there was a car available it would cost more. He became rude and aggressive. He was not at all concerned that my wife and I who are both in our seventies, and non-Spanish speakers, were left abandoned at Barcelona airport on Christmas Day. People standing nearby were somewhat shocked at the attitude of your staff - basically ‘couldn’t care less’. No refund so far
