Drinkers who are not whiskey connoisseurs may rate this brand as being not bad. But in the swim of things, it is not refined enough to command a £49 selling price. Does it seem to be an example of a good "value" = young (3-year-old)? malt whisky - that has been very carefully branded for marketing purposes. That said it is a pleasant enough drink. But if you prefer a better "value" whisky I suggest you compare GD's 1770 to the Wine Society's 8-year-old malt Strathspey whisky that retails for just £21. There is a reason why premium whisky brands are priced well north of £50!
