This would be a "0" if I could choose it! We are 6 months into my step-daughters policy. After the first 90 days, my bank account was debited with £193.93 (with no warning at all!) We are now 180 days in and received an email asking us to check the dashboard. There is only one message there dated "10 05 20", relating to the February letter/penalty!!! This message was not in the inbox in February. My step-daughter has improved all her scores, but from reading all the other reviews, looks like another penalty for us! She has many friends (young) and they do not get penalized like this. The dashboard gives conflicting scores from graphs showing a good score of 77 to a "gauge" showing a score of 45. I have driven in the car with her on many occasions and her driving is very good and responsible and does not warrant these penalties. She is a home carer and her car is essential. She has schedules to meet from her employer and it would appear now she is set up to fail. After this year is over we will NEVER insure with the Coop again!! Shocking. The black box is not about safe driving, its about bumping up the premium. Massive lesson learnt. Like a previous mum commented, my step daughter is now more nervous driving because she is so paranoid about her scores!!!! One thing I learned today, I ll be checking TrustPilot for all future insurance purchases. If CooP really wanted to help young drivers, the dashboard would be set up to encourage them by "setting an actual target to avoid a £'s fine." The dashboard is vague, vague, vague.
