There are some things we do like about the product (garden pergola) but these have been outweighed by the problems we have experienced in erecting the pergola. The placing of specific pieces was difficult due to lack of identification of them from the plan, measuring the area for correct placement of the legs was very difficult as the measurements given for the foot plates on the plan didn't match the measurements of the foot plates supplied - we had to ring the office to get the correct measurements! Putting the canopy in place was very difficult due to a pulley ring being slightly smaller than all the others and we had to force the pole through it, which now means that despite the instruction to remove the canopy in the winter and in event of strong winds it is now impossible to remove the canopy - any advice you can give us as to protecting the canopy for the future or how to change the pulley without dismantling the whole structure would be very much appreciated.
