Like many poor schmoes I put petrol in my diesel car. Sadness. I drove it a few miles down the road before it gave up on a roundabout. I had it toed back home where fuel fixer were able to get to me the same day and sorted everything within an hour. Luckily I hadn't done any lasting damage according to the tech who helped me. It's been about a month hence and the car still runs like before. Just forget anything happened. Was a bit pricey, ~£350, but what are you gonna do? They did take a bit longer than initially scheduled getting to me which was a bit of a pain, but I was home so wasn't too bad.
