The most beautiful red carnations that I treated myself to this year arrived exactly on the day; every flower and fern and stem of gypsophila was perfect. I've had a "bit of a year" in that I lost my husband in August then suffered a bad fall in early December which has left me shaken still and feeling a bit sorry for myself but when the carnations arrived,brightening up my room,simply looking at them has made me feel so much better and made me smile as I love the colour red anyway but as I didn't really feel up to doing decorations this year the flowers have more than made up for everything.
