Purchased a coat for my wife for Christmas , went into store 2 days later with her browsing she made a comment on how bad the coat was that I had actually brought without knowing I had brought it her . Spoke with a sales assistant and made her aware of my situation and that my wife liked another coat in there and could she go get me that coat in the size I wanted and also purchased a gilet coat to match, i explained that if I got these coats today could I bring my other one back and get my payment back she assured me I could , at this point I was never aware of the no refund policy. Called back to the shop a week later to return the original coat only to to be told I had to have a credit note as the do not do refunds This practice is awful and they get away with this by having a tiny notice on the till in amongst other small promotional offers stating no refunds The sales assistant is also to blame as she knew my situation and could easily have told me this and explained to bring my coat back in exchange for the new one
