Gift Port/Newspaper .. relevant Birthday for my 60 year old son.
Received in good time, very happy with overall presentation, except for a bad soiling mark on FRONT page of paper, it wasn't an 'age related' mark but a 'handling' one. I contacted the office and spoke to a woman. I was complimentary regarding the overall presentation except for the soiling mark, I asked if she could forward me another paper... that I would return the soiled one. The woman instructed me to 'photograph' it and send it on by email .. I explained I was 82 years old and not familiar with technology/computers and had no idea how to accomplish the task she suggested, I explained that normally one of my adult grandsons would have assisted me, but because of Corona Lockdown that wasn't possible. The woman became irritated and I became upset at her persistent/instructions that I didn't understand... I couldn't believe it when she put the phone down on me. In my younger years I was a Private Secretary working in varied business concerns, and there were many occasions when conversations with customers, business people, required the right approach to solve a problem... at no time did I ever decide that cutting off the complainant was acceptable... IT ISN'T! The woman's job was to assist me, it was not my fault that the gift was stained/marked and time was running out to replace it... my Sons 60th birthday was very special to not only him, but myself as his Mother. Very disappointed that 'all's well' didn't 'end' well!
