In October we shipped 4 bags to Germany with Eurosender. We paid 161.50 euro. Each of the bags weighed under 30kg. Each of the bags had a volumetric weight under 30kg as well, as per Eurosender and UPS definition of VolWeight=L*W*H/5000 In November we're informed they charged us 156.51 euro more because we exceeded the weight for 31.5 kg overall! The e-mail said the 156.51 euro covered what UPS charged and their own (Eurosender's) admin fees. We asked for a detailed report on this. We got a reply with their "actual dimensions" for our bags, some of them were around 10cm bigger then what we input in their website when making the shipment. We took pictures of all the bags showing how preposterous their numbers were. On this re-measuring of the bags we did, we found we even had submitted some dimensions bigger than they actually were. Only one of the bags had slightly bigger dimensions than the ones we submitted, and even then it didn't exceed the 30kg threshold for Volumetric Weight. Nor did it exceed the Volumetric Weight with the inflated dimensions UPS claimed, for this specific bag. Eurosender said they'd file our complaint with UPS for 2 bags only, and that the bag mentioned in the last sentence and another one were "clearly bigger": they claim our submission of 75x47x41 was clearly different from the real dimensions of 77x47x40. Keep in mind we were surcharged on the basis of 79x55x40 measures for this specific bag. There are no grounds for a surcharge, and yet they will not even dispute the surcharge for 2 of bags when even they acknowledge the UPS claimed dimensions are different (way bigger) and false. We asked multiple times for further explanations on the 31.5kg mentioned as the amount of weight by which we exceeded the limit, got no explanation. We asked multiple times for further explanations on everything, inner workings of the calculations, for them to acknowledge our numbers were right, for them to acknowledge our calculations were right, for them to acknowledge surcharges happen when a bag exceeds the 30kg limit, and we were left in the dark. UPS falsified the bags' dimensions to get our money and they went along. They won't explain the numbers because that would expose what's really going on.
