Having gone through an earlier failed attempt of house purchase with another solicitor, I can just say that I was really impressed and couldn't have asked for more. Annie Hobson was very transparent. Just as I got the survey and asked a question due to my lack of experience, she was very transparent about what's practical and still the risks. That was even before I committed to the engagement. Still I was told the truth with the possibility I may have just decided to walk away. She remained deeply knowledgeable about every legal aspect that we've encountered in this lengthy transaction we've gone through over around 4 months. She professionally handled everything ensuring I'm protected in the long term. Survey issues,searches,regulations, boundaries ,safety, mortgage. Everything was top-notch! I was trying to be a prudent buyer asking about everything. However, even after I satisfy my doubts(and I'm very skeptical) ,Annie would even go further and investigate small issues I missed that if not handled would have caused me lots of pain later as I live in or attempt to buy again even. Things beyond the standard bits of forms and title. Very quick coming back around all doubts I had and kept me posted on the status when delays took place out of her hands. During such big transactions, it's really great to get transparent info that clearly highlights to you what the risks are in easy to understand terms while still giving you practical advice along with full legal options and still providing recommendations with full data around them. After earlier experience, seeing how first buyers are being dealt with,I'm really pleased having found Annie in Eliot Mather and now feeling that if I ever need to buy or sell a house,I know who to go to. The distance (not in the same city as Annie and never met her) was not an issue. Many thanks to Annie and of course the team who must've assisted her in the background in completing the transaction efficiently and ensuring that now months later I feel safe from all aspects.
