I was not happy at being told the new tyres could be up to 2 years old. I refused to have tyres older than 6 months. The desk clerk started to push back at me, eventually, he said he would check the age of the tyres and they turned out to be about 6 months old, which was my limit of acceptability.
The fitter was surly and I was not convinced he fitted new valves. I asked if he could see why I was slowly leaking ait on one tyre and he did not report back.
